A brain interface remains a clinical question.

Synchron says its Stentrode brain-computer interface is under clinical assessment for people with paralysis.

AI’s role
Synchron reports using NVIDIA Holoscan for real-time on-device neural decoding, and its March 2025 announcement demonstrated a Holoscan-powered interface controlling lights, music, temperature and appliances through an Apple Vision Pro display. The Chiral cognitive foundation model is presented as a roadmap, not a released system.
Documented result
The company says trials are underway in the U.S. and Australia.
Important limitation
Synchron calls the device investigational, says clinical benefit is unvalidated and says it has no commercial approval.
