## Work, public revenue and useful computing

Saint Martin’s reports that 19 of 20 Spring 2026 graduates from its 12-week military-affiliated pathway received Oracle offers; the university reports cohort-specific starting pay, not a future guarantee. Loudoun projects $1.3 billion in gross FY 2027 data-center property-tax revenue, not net public benefit. Ohio’s public shared-HPC service reports thousands of clients and students reached, not a benefit caused by a commercial facility.

## Water and heat infrastructure

In Quincy, a city-owned utility reduces potable-groundwater demand while still using canal and groundwater make-up water. In Mäntsälä, heat exchangers and electric heat pumps move server heat into a town-centre district network when pipes, demand and backup supply line up.

## People and work by phase

A New Albany city report separates existing campus employment, on-site construction staffing and expansion forecasts. Google’s KP Philpot profile shows one path from contractor construction safety into campus operations. Google’s Kristina material remains a career explainer because it does not provide enough source detail for a deeper worker outcome story.

## What should my community ask?

Power: Which substations, transmission lines and generation are required? Which tariff or contract assigns each cost if the project shrinks or cancels?

Jobs: How many construction job-years, peak workers, operating employees and contractors? What wage, geography, completion and placement records will be public?

Revenue: What is collected in property tax and fees; what is exempted or abated; what roads, utilities and services will the public fund?

Water: Which source, in which season? Report withdrawal, consumption, reuse and potable demand avoided as separate measures.

Delivery: Who signs, what is the baseline, when are reports due, who audits them and what remedy applies when a commitment is missed?

## How this section is evidenced

Bright publishes 12 discoveries and seven guides in this section. Operating systems, budget projections, policies, research findings, public computing access and source-reported workforce outcomes remain visibly distinct.

Vendor forecasts are not presented as job outcomes; annual clean-energy procurement is not presented as hourly physical supply; grants and signed policies are not presented as delivered community benefits.
