Bright key facts / Deployed
DeepSeek opens the engine behind its AI. Here’s what DeepInfer actually changes
DeepSeek has opened DeepInfer, the engine behind V4.1-Flash. A plain-language guide to the release, its benchmarks, hardware needs and limits.
- AI’s role
- DeepInfer executes DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash inference; DSpark, bounded replay and scheduling target inference efficiency, while deepseek-recipe handles request and response translation.
- Documented result
- DeepSeek released Apache-2.0 DeepInfer offline inference code and an October 20 update to its MIT-licensed deepseek-recipe toolkit. Provider curves separately measure prefill and decode on specialized hardware; Bright has not reproduced the launch curves.
- Important limitation
- The release provides offline inference and excludes the complete KV-cache system, separated vision/prefill/decode deployment and replica load balancing.
