A brighter view, earned
Bright was founded by Brandon Brooks after he grew tired of seeing AI discussed as though catastrophe were the only serious story. Bright is his effort to make useful AI progress visible without hiding uncertainty, cost, disagreement or limits.
Grounded optimism begins with evidence. Promotional hype asks a reader to feel certain before the facts warrant it. Bright shows the problem, the documented progress and what may become possible, then keeps the limits beside the claim.

The person behind Bright
Brandon Brooks is Bright’s founder and editor. He is a Pittsburgh entrepreneur, technology builder and investor, a founding partner of Overlooked Ventures, and the founder of Inventrify. In 2023, he testified before the U.S. House Financial Services Subcommittee on Capital Markets about access to investment opportunities and capital.
Founder attribution and editorial responsibility do not establish a contracting legal entity, privacy-controller identity or payment-account owner. Bright does not yet publish a separately confirmed statement naming its legal operator, ownership structure or funding sources.

Evidence before atmosphere
Bright favors original studies and documented institutional deployments. A record separates what happened, AI’s specific role, the observed result, why it may matter and what remains unknown. Source dates, Bright publication dates and later revisions stay distinct.
Limitations remain attached because they define the boundary of the evidence. A benchmark is not a social outcome, a prediction is not an experiment and a deployment is not proof of net benefit. New evidence can change the record without erasing what Bright previously published.

How the work is made
AI assists research, source comparison, drafting, data preparation, code and production. It does not become a witness, invent reporting or replace accountability. Human sources and interviews must be real and consented.
Brandon remains responsible for publication choices, editorial framing and owner-authorized work. AI-assisted review is disclosed where it occurs; it is not described as independent replication, expert peer review or named human fact-checking.

Independence and support
Sponsors and underwriters may support a clearly disclosed format or area of work. They cannot buy a verdict, choose an evidence state, remove a limitation, approve unrelated editorial copy or turn paid material into a discovery record.
Readers can support Bright voluntarily, and institutions can ask about sponsorships, evidence briefs and other clearly separated work. No support arrangement changes the evidence standard.
