A city report separates today’s campus workforce from expansion forecasts.

The city describes approximately 200 existing Meta campus employees. It also says 1,200 construction workers were on the expansion site. The report does not identify whether the approximately 200 operating workers are direct Meta employees or contractors, and it does not say how many workers live locally.

A construction-site headcount is not a count of permanent jobs, full-time equivalents or job-years. It captures a project phase and should stay attached to that phase.

For two additional buildings, the report expected construction staffing to rise from 1,200 to 1,800 and campus employment to reach approximately 300 after completion. It expected one building in 2026 and the second in 2028.

Those future counts are useful commitments to follow, not delivered outcomes. Public reporting still needs actual peak construction headcount, job-years, contractor and direct-employer splits, wages, apprenticeships, local residency, and final operating employment.
