Documentation checked 2026-10-12. No model execution, hardware memory measurements or speed benchmarks were performed by Bright.

Each starting option has a written task reason, exact checkpoint and runtime evidence, license sources and separate platform conditions. It is not a ranking by file size. Installed unified memory, dedicated graphics memory and system RAM remain separate. Available memory and runtime memory are unknown.

Mac 8 GB has a constrained text workflow and no reviewed image choice. CPU-only, integrated graphics, Intel Macs, coding, transcription and undocumented combinations remain outside this launch. Ollama document chat requires a separate verified application workflow and is not offered here.

Each answer carries a stable revision and source dates. This first edition has no invented prior change history. Future changes require reviewed evidence; no monthly publication obligation is promised.

Setup handoff measures a successful copy or runtime documentation opening once per tab-local choice session. It does not mean a model ran. Only fixed aggregate event names are collected under existing privacy controls, with no device or choice attributes sent.

Model and application rights remain with their owners. No new license grant is made for third-party files or this shelf data.
